   INTERSTATE 301 LEAGUE RULES 2016/2017


1. ALL LEAGUE PLAY WILL BE 301, OPEN IN AND OPEN OUT.  

2. THERE WILL BE A $50.00 SPONSOR FEE FOR EACH TEAM IN THE LEAGUE. THIS IS DUE BY THE 2ND WEEK OF SEASON PLAY. THE TEAM CAPTAINS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO GET THE SPONSOR FEE TO THE LEAGUE TREASURER.

3. PLAYERS MUST BE EIGHTEEN (18) OR OVER TO PLAY IN THE LEAGUE. IT WILL BE UP TO THE BAR OWNERS DISCRETION WHETHER TO LET EIGHTEEN YEAR OLDS INTO THEIR ESTABLISHMENT. IF ANY UNDERAGE PLAYERS ARE CAUGHT DRINKING ALCOHOL THEIR TEAM WILL BE EXPELLED FROM THE LEAGUE AND ALL MONEYS FORFEITED. GAMES WILL REMAIN AS IS. ALL FUTURE GAMES WILL BE A BYE FOR THE SEASON OR UNTIL THE TEAM IS REPLACED.

4. BARS WILL NOT CHARGE A COVER CHARGE TO DART PLAYERS DURING LEAGUE PLAY.

5. TEAMS WILL CONSIST OF A 6 PLAYER ROSTER (4 REGULAR PLAYERS AND 2 SUBS) WHICH WILL HAVE TO BE FILLED OUT AND TURNED IN TO THE TREASURER BY THE SECOND WEEK OF PLAY. FLOATING SUBS MAY BE USED. IF A PLAYER IS CHANGED OR ADDED THE LEAGUE PRESIDENT OR TREASURER MUST BE NOTIFIED IN WRITING BEFORE THAT PERSON PLAYS. ONCE A PLAYER OR TEAM IS DROPPED PLAYERS CAN BE PICKED UP BY ANOTHER TEAM WITH THE APPROVAL OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD. TEAM CAPTAINS MUST BE NOTIFIED BY PERSON OR PERSONS QUITTING. THERE WILL BE A TWO WEEK WAITING PERIOD BEFORE A PLAYER CAN RESUME PLAY UNLESS ALL BOARD MEMBERS AND APPEALING TEAM AGREE TO LET PLAYER START IMMEDIATELY. PLAYER WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY FOR THAT TEAM AGAIN THAT SEASON.

6. TEAMS WILL CONSIST OF FOUR PLAYERS. EACH TWO PERSON TEAM WILL PLAY SIX GAMES EACH WEEK. A TOTAL OF TWELVE GAMES PLAYED. IT WILL BE UP TO BOTH TEAM CAPTAINS TO DECIDE IF THE ROSTER CAN BE CHANGED AFTER THE START OF PLAY

7. HOME TEAM SELECTS THE BOARD. THE OPPOSING TEAM MUST BE GIVEN A 1/2 HOUR (7:00 TO 7:30) TO WARM UP ON GAME BOARD. NO PRACTICE AFTER 7:30.

8. GAME TIME IS 7:30 PM. TEAMS WILL HAVE A 15 MINUTE GRACE PERIOD. IF OPPOSING TEAM SHOWS BEFORE THE 1ST GAME IS OVER THEY START AT THAT POINT AND FINISH THE REMAINING GAMES. IF THE FIRST GAME IS FINISHED ALL GAMES ARE FORFEITED.

9. PLAYERS PAY A $5.00 PER WEEK DUES AND THE LEAGUE PROVIDES QUARTERS FOR MACHINE.

10. TEAM CAPTAINS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR $20.00 EACH NIGHT REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY PLAYERS SHOW UP TO PLAY. DURING A FORFEITURE THE OTHER TEAM WILL RECEIVE THEIR AVERAGE FOR THE 1ST HALF OR AVERAGE FOR THE 2ND HALF IN RESPECTIVE DIVISION. FORFEITING TEAM MUST STILL PAY $14.00 TO THE LEAGUE AND GET ZERO WINS.

11. IN CASE OF EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES PLAY CAN BE MADE UP IF TEAM MAKES ARRANGEMENTS 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE PRIOR TO MATCH WITH OPPOSING TEAM AND NOTIFIES TREASURER OF NEW GAME TIME.  IN ORDER TO EXPEDITE THIS RULING, TEAM CAPTAINS MUST HAVE A VALID PHONE NUMBER LISTED WITH THE LEAGUE.  A SHEET WITH THE CAPTAIN'S PHONE NUMBERS WILL BE GIVEN TO EACH TEAM ONE WEEK AFTER THE NAMES AND NUMBERS HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED TO THE LEAGUE. 

12. PLAYERS MAY USE THEIR OWN DARTS AS LONG AS THEY ARE UNALTERED FACTORY ISSUED DARTS AND TIPS, DO NOT EXCEED EIGHT INCHES IN LENGTH, AND DO NOT EXCEED 18.0 GRAMS IN WEIGHT. OTHERWISE BAR DARTS WILL BE SUPPLIED BY EACH LOCATION OPERATING A GAME.

13. DART MACHINE IS ALWAYS RIGHT! IF MACHINE IS NOT OPERATING CORRECTLY THE TWO TEAM CAPTAINS WILL DECIDE WHETHER TO MOVE TO A DIFFERENT MACHINE OR MAKE UP THE GAME AT A DIFFERENT TIME DECIDED THAT NIGHT.

14. THE PARTNERS SCORE OF THE PERSON GOING OUT MUST BE THE SAME OR LESS THEN THE COMBINED SCORE OF THE OPPOSING TEAM TO WIN THE GAME. EXAMPLE: YOUR PARTNER HAS A SCORE OF 50, THE 2 OPPOSING PLAYERS SCORES EQUAL 49 OR LESS, YOU CAN NOT GO OUT. IF THE OPPOSING PLAYERS SCORES EQUAL 50 OR MORE YOU CAN GO OUT.

15. IF A PLAYER THROWS WHEN THE MACHINE IS DISPLAYING THE NUMBER OF THAT PLAYER'S PARTNER EACH PLAYER ON THAT TEAM LOSES ONE TURN IMMEDIATELY.

16. IT IS THE PLAYER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO SEE THAT THE MACHINE IS DISPLAYING THE PLAYER'S NUMBER PRIOR TO THROWING ANY DARTS. IF A PLAYER THROWS WHEN THE MACHINE IS DISPLAYING AN OPPONENTS NUMBER THE OPPONENT HAS THE OPTION OF ACCEPTING THE SCORE AND ALLOWING PLAY TO CONTINUE OR RESETTING THE MACHINE TO THE PLAYER'S NUMBER WHO ORIGINALLY THREW THE WRONG NUMBER. EXAMPLE: PLAYER THREE MISTAKENLY THROWS ON PLAYER FOUR, PLAYER FOUR CAN ACCEPT THE SCORE AND THE GAME MOVES ON STARTING WITH PLAYER ONE. THE RESULT BEING THAT PLAYER THREE HAS LOST THE OPPORTUNITY TO SCORE ON THAT ROUND.

17. ALL GAMES SHALL HAVE FOUL LINES POSITIONED 96 INCHES HORIZONTALLY FROM THE FACE OF THE DART BOARD. PLAYERS THROW FROM BEHIND THE FOUL LINE. PLAYERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO LEAN ACROSS THE FOUL LINE WITH THE TRAIL FOOT AS LONG AS THE TRAIL FOOT DOES NOT TOUCH THE FLOOR BEFORE THE DART SCORES.

18. IF A PLAYER TILTS THE MACHINE HE OR SHE LOSES THE GAME.

19. IN THE EVENT OF ABSENT TEAM PLAYERS A SUB OR SUBS MAY BE USED. IF THE TEAM MEMBER IS PRESENT OR ON THE PREMISES THAT TEAM MEMBER MUST BE USED INSTEAD OF THE SUB EXCEPT IN CASE OF INJURY. GAMES MAY ALSO BE PLAYED WITH THREE PLAYERS, THE VACANT SPOT BEING LEFT AT 301. THE TEAM MUST MAKE UP THE MONEY FOR THE MISSING PLAYER.
 
20. THERE CAN BE NO NEW PLAYERS IN THE LAST THREE WEEKS.

21. DO NOT SIGN SCORE SHEETS UNTIL ALL GAMES ARE COMPLETED. IF SCORE IS DISPUTED AND CAPTAINS ARE UNABLE TO SETTLE THE DISPUTE NOTIFY THE TREASURER SO A MEETING CAN BE CALLED. ONLY SCORE SHEETS THAT ARE CORRECT SHOULD BE SIGNED BY BOTH CAPTAINS.

22. ALL MONEY FROM BOTH TEAMS ALONG WITH THE WHITE DATED SCORE SHEET WILL BE TURNED IN BY HOME TEAM. IF A MATCH IS RESCHEDULED BY AGREEMENT OF BOTH TEAM CAPTAINS, A MEMBER OF THE BOARD MUST BE NOTIFIED PRIOR TO THE REGULARLY SCHEDULED DROP-OFF TIME FOR THAT MATCH. ANY SCORE SHEET NOT SIGNED AND DATED BECOMES OFFICIAL AFTER TWENTY FOUR HOURS. SCORE SHEETS WILL BE TURNED IN AT ONE OF THE TWO LOCATIONS, (NORTHSTAR, PIT STOP ) BY FRIDAY AFTER THE MATCH NO LATER THEN SATURDAY OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED FINE  . HOME TEAM KEEP YELLOW COPY AND OPPOSING TEAM KEEPS THE PINK COPY.
 
23. IF A SCORE SHEET AND MONEY ARE NOT TURNED IN BY THE SCHEDULED TIME, THE CAPTAIN OF THE TEAM RESPONSIBLE FOR TURNING IN THE SHEETS WILL RECEIVE A PHONE CALL FROM THE LEAGUE SECRETARY ON THE SUNDAY IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE DATE OF SCHEDULED DROP-OFF, INFORMING THE TEAM CAPTAIN THAT THE SCORE SHEETS FOR THAT MATCH HAD NOT BEEN RECEIVED.  ADDITIONALLY, THE RESPONSIBLE TEAM WILL RECEIVE A PENALTY OF TWENTY DOLLARS, TO BE TAKEN FROM THAT TEAM'S WINNINGS AT THE END OF THE SEASON.
 
IF A SCORE SHEET AND MONEY ARE NOT TURNED IN BY THE SECOND FRIDAY FOLLOWING A MATCH, THE TEAM CAPTAIN WILL AGAIN BE NOTIFIED THAT SUNDAY BY THE LEAGUE SECRETARY, AND THE TEAM WILL SUFFER FORFEITURE OF ANY WIN POINTS FROM THE NIGHT IN QUESTION AND A TWENTY DOLLAR FINE.
 
IF A SCORE SHEET AND MONEY ARE NOT TURNED IN BY THE THIRD FRIDAY FOLLOWING A MATCH, THE TEAM CAPTAIN WILL AGAIN BE NOTIFIED THAT SUNDAY BY THE LEAGUE SECRETARY, AND THE TEAM WILL BE FINED FORTY DOLLARS AND WINS FORFEITED.

24. ANY TEAM NOT FOLLOWING LEAGUE RULES WILL BE JEOPARDIZING THEIR STANDINGS. FOR EXAMPLE A PERSON ON A TEAM THAT SHOULD NOT BE. THIS WILL RESULT WITH THAT TEAM LOSING ALL GAMES THAT PERSON PLAYED IN WITH OPPOSING TEAM GETTING ONLY THEIR WINS.

25. HARASSMENT FROM PLAYERS OR SPECTATORS TO OPPOSING TEAM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. NO FOUL OR ABUSIVE LANGUAGE, NO PHYSICAL VIOLENCE, ABUSE OF EQUIPMENT, OR POOR SPORTSMANSHIP. YOU WILL LOSE THE MATCH AND/OR BE EXPELLED FROM THE LEAGUE BY CAPTAINS VOTE. TEAMS EXPELLED FORFEIT ALL POINTS AND MONEY PAID.

26. THE TWO TEAM CAPTAINS WILL SETTLE DISPUTES THE NIGHT OF DARTS. IF UNABLE TO SETTLE AN EXECUTIVE MEETING WILL BE CALLED. IF UNABLE TO SETTLE A MEETING OF BOARD/GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE (TEAM CAPTAINS) WILL BE CALLED. BOTH CAPTAINS INVOLVED IN THE DISPUTE MUST BE PRESENT OR A RULING WILL BE MADE IN FAVOR OF THE CAPTAIN THAT IS PRESENT.

27. TOTAL GAME WINS DETERMINE STANDINGS. IN EVENT OF A TIE, A PLAYOFF WILL BE HELD.
27.B IN AN EVENT OF A PLAYOFF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE WILL DECIDE ON A NEUTRAL PLACE TO SHOOT. IN THE EVENT OF THE 3 WAY TIE FIRST GAME WILL BE PLAYED THAT NIGHT AT THE BAR CHOSEN BY THE COMMITTEE, SECOND GAME WILL BE DECIDED AMONG THE CAPTAINS OF THE TEAM TO PLAY AT THEIR CHOSEN PLACE ,BUT GAME MUST BE PLAYED WITHIN THAT WEEK  

28. SCORE SHEET IS SET UP FOR TEAM & INDIVIDUAL STANDINGS. INDIVIDUAL STANDINGS CONSIST OF PLAYER THAT WENT OUT. ALSO PATCHES RECEIVED EACH WEEK. INDIVIDUAL STANDINGS WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE LEAGUE'S BEST MALE & FEMALE.

29. SECRETARY PAY $35.00 PER TEAM.

30. SUBS WILL SHOOT BY DIVISION, CAN MOVE UP FROM LOWER DIVISION BUT NOT DOWN FROM UPPER DIVISION ALSO IN SECOND HALF SUBS.FLOATING SUBS WILL BE LISTED ON WEBSITE.

31. IF BOARD RUNS OUT OF ROUNDS THE TEAM WITH THE LOWEST SCORE WINS. IF TIED EACH PLAYER WILL SHOOT ONE DART AT THE BULLS-EYE. THE ONE CLOSEST TO THE BULLS-EYE WINS 

32. IF TWO HOME TEAMS, CAPTAINS FLIP A COIN TO DECIDE WHICH BOARD THEY WILL SHOOT ON

33.TEAMS MUST HAVE 75% OF THE ORIGINAL TEAM MEMBERS FROM THE ROSTER(THREE ORIGINAL PLAYERS)IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR PRIZES

34.GAMES MISSED DUE TO WEATHER OR UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES MUST BE MADE UP WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF MISSED GAME, SOME EXCEPTIONS MAY APPLY BUT MUST BE DISGUSTED WITH COMMITTEE FIST
